The Household Kitchen Loft is a beautifully equipped 18-seat demonstration kitchen theatre with overhead mirror for easy viewing.

We provide complimentary refreshments, generous tasting samples, copies of the recipes and discounts at Household China & Gifts.

Private cooking classes are available for groups of 12 or more. Our space is perfect for planning your next birthday, anniversary or wedding shower event.

Choose from classes on basic cooking skills to ethnic cuisine to guest chef and cookbook author menus. Every home cook from novice to the aficinado will find classes to meet their skill level and unique culinary interests.

Donna-Marie Pye

Donna-Marie began her food career early – by watching and helping her mother and grandmother in the kitchen as they cooked, baked, grilled and canned their way through every conceivable type of meal. It was no surprise when she opted to get her degree in Home Economics, specializing in Food and Nutrition.

A graduate of Ryerson, Donna-Marie’s 25-year career as been spent working for companies such as Kraft Foods, Turkey Farmers of Ontario and the Ontario Pork. Now as a freelance home economist, Donna-Marie continues to develop her own recipes for cooking classes, various food companies and private events.

Donna-Marie has appeared in newspapers across North America and on television including Canada AM, Breakfast Television and The Food Network. She is also the best-selling author of three Canadian cookbooks, Canada’s Best Slow Cooker Recipes, Family’s Best Slow Cooker Recipes and 300 Slow Cooker Favorites. Her newest book will be published in September 2010.
